Recently, I came across a quote by Henri Frederic Amiel and decided to share it with you lovely princesses:
Women wish to be loved without a why or a wherefore; not because they are pretty, or good, or well-bred, or graceful, or intelligent, but because they are themselves.
I think this quote is so accurate. We, as daughters of the King have this inner desire to be loved for who we are, not for what we can do or what we look like, etc. God designed us like this for a purpose, so we can experience the great love He has for us. Princesses, we are His favorite girls!
The issue here is this: If God isn’t satisfying this need to be loved, we will always be searching for something or someone to fill that void. There is nothing wrong with this desire to be loved for who you are, but nobody, not your friends, not a boyfriend, husband, even your family, can love you in the way you need like God can. Even our thoughts are known to Him and He loves us still (Psalm 139:1-4.) Just think, what if every, single one of your thoughts were typed and printed into a book for all to read? Would people see you a little different than they do now? It’s very possible. But God knows it all, every detail about you, and loves you more than you could even imagine (Ephesians 3:17-19.) How amazing is that?
One last thing princesses, when you find yourself frustrated by people because they are not loving you in the way you want, stop and remember that they are God’s children too, seeking out love just like you. 
When I was 14, and just starting my relationship with God, I was still wanting love from other sources and He taught me something I will never forget. Sometimes, when you want to receive love, you have to first give it (1 John 4:19.) When I wanted to be hugged, be given a gift, told I was loved etc., instead of letting myself feel hurt when I did not receive those things, He taught me to give what I felt I lacked. So, I would go and hug someone else or told a friend they were beautiful, whatever it was that I myself craved.
Till this day, every time I do this, people feel so special and loved, which they are, and God’s love fills up my heart so completely that I no longer have the desire to be loved by anyone else but Him. I believe it is because He allows us experience His love for them, and at the same time His love for us, and it is so overwhelmingly pure and beautiful, there is nothing on earth or in this universe that can compare.
So princesses, you are amazing and truly beautiful inside and out and I am excited for your life. God has such great plans for your future that are just going to amaze you when they unfold. Don’t give up yet! God loves everything about you and has not forgotten about you!
